IGYB was founded by Ro Parry, whose connection to sports has followed her through nearly every stage of her life. She grew up an athlete, married a football coach, and is now raising three competitive kids in a family where practices, games, travel, and everything that comes with them have become part of the rhythm of everyday life.
Over the years, Ro came to appreciate that some of the most important parts of sports have very little to do with what ends up on a scoreboard. Athletes learn how to work when no one is watching, how to respond when things don’t go their way, and how much it matters to have good people beside them through both.
That last part became the foundation for IGYB.
Behind every athlete is a collection of people who have contributed something to the person they are becoming. It might be the teammate who knows when to push and when to listen, the coach who sees more in them than they see in themselves, or the family rearranging life around practices, tournaments, injuries, setbacks, and opportunities. Most of that effort is never seen publicly, but it matters.
IGYB stands for I Got Your Back, a simple phrase that carries a much bigger expectation: be someone people can count on.
That idea extends well beyond sports. The discipline, loyalty, confidence, and resilience developed through competition don’t disappear when the uniform comes off. They become part of how people approach their relationships, their work, and whatever they decide to pursue next.
For Ro, sport, streetwear, and art have always belonged in the same conversation. She designs and directs every IGYB collection with that perspective, drawing from athletic culture without simply making clothes that look like sportswear. The goal is to create pieces people genuinely want to wear, with an identity and meaning that become more personal over time.
IGYB is built for athletes, but it belongs just as much to the people beside them and to anyone who still carries the athlete mentality long after the game has ended.
Because eventually the season changes, the crowd goes home, and the accomplishments become memories. The people who had your back, and the person you became because of them, stay with you.
